Here’s a little mplayer cheat sheet to have some fun at the command line:

[ and ], decrease and increase speed by 10%

{ and }, decrease and increase speed

backspace, reset speed to normal

< and >, go backwards and forwards in playlist

/ or 9, decrease volume

* or 0, increase volume
